alice in quantum land

Each painting in this series uses the hexagon as the principal compositional element. Strings of vibrating colors are then applied in an abstract expressionistic manner.

The subjects of the paintings are occasionally brought into focus by the application of the negative space surrounding the vibrating strings. The still life that we see comes about by painting everything that is not a ‘still life’ in the same way that the ‘reality’ of our physical existence is only based upon our unreliable perception.

Quantum physics has shown us that it is our perception or our intention that creates the reality that we experience out of an ocean of possibilities.

The paintings are meant to challenge our perception of our place and purpose in this holographic universe.
